BEFORE

AFTER: 7/22/2007

Background
Purchased in '98, this CB750 K5 soon had a fresh red paint job and bags were added. For the next 9 years, this bike was a daily rider and stayed as is...until Dawn sat on a bobber at bike week in '06, and our imaginations started pondering how we could bob this classic ride and still be able to take it back to original if desired.

June, 2007

Added 12" apes and (temporary) red grips for retro look; John removed rear shocks and added struts to drop the rear as low as possible; fabbed a custom plate holder and relocated plate to the side of the bike.
6/30/07
Retro flames with HOK Burple Kandy skulls and smoke. (Photos taken pre-clear)

(left to rt: rear fender, left side cover, tank left, tank right)
7/6/2007
Picked up tins from clear coater's.

7/10/2007
Frame and gauges are painted, and it's time to start assembly.
7/15/2007
More progress on assembly and wiring. That new sidecover that John fabbed looks sweet! Note the new cap on the oil tank in the last photo.
7/22/2007
Time to put in some gas and oil, and crank her up!

We are still going to customize a seat for her, but at least she's running now!

IT LIVES!!!!!

The bike was shown in the "BackTalk" section of the December, 2007, issue of "The Horse"!

All our bike and helmet projects are clear coated to a perfect finish with Glasurit products by the fine folks at X-clu'sive Collision Center in Danville, Virginia. Phone: 434-791-4288
