Commissioned piece, original is sold. February 2005, 18x24 acrylic on canvas. Print size is 18x24, the actual image is 16x20.  Commission created for a member of the Nebraska Archeology Society. Depicts a dramatic scene approximately 11,500 years ago near the area known today as North Platte, Nebraska. A small group of Clovis hunters are confronted by an enraged mammoth bull who seeks to protect his herd of cows and their young. Armed with a stone-tipped compound spear and an atlatl, the hunters prepare to defend themselves in the instant before the attack.

, $400, Comm, SOLD, 2003, 32x32, acrylic on canvas, Commissioned work. Client wanted a single ocean wave curl, with color to match a previous large work done for them.



Blue Dolphin Woman's Drum, Comm/SOLD, acrylic on 20" hide frame drum, Golden Eagle with Four Directions ribbons, painted on Native American Drum. Artist was invited to the smudging ceremony to bless the drum.
Blue Lotus, Originally $650, on sale for $450, 4/1/2004; 32" square canvas. This Blue Lotus image has been "stolen" numerous times on the internet - which shows how popular it is! It was used in a Magic the Gathering online card set, and on a number of blog pages. All instances of copyright infringement have been stopped.

Blue Manifest, $150, Blue and purple, Blue Buddha is the healing Buddha. Spontaneous painting - this just "happened". You can smell the incense as this Buddha manifests from the drifting smoke.

 

Blue Swim, $75, 8/30/2003; watercolor on paper. Head and fin of sea turtle, slowly drifting in the blue. I wanted to capture a meditative moment in this watercolor painting.

Dolphin Leather Jacket, Artist's collection, NFS, airbrush on leather jacket, 2006. I airbrushed this leather jacket to match my motorcycle, "Mermie". The bike is named for the mermaid on her back fender. The bike features dolphins on the side covers, tank, and front fender.

Evening Watchers, $175, on sale for $100, 2003, 18x24, acrylic on canvas. Peach, pink, lavender…the colors of a perfect sunset. The silhouettes showed up in my reference photo after I printed them. I did not see the silhouettes when I was watching the sunset on the lake. Reference photo taken in Lake Placid, FL.

Full of It, $195, on sale for $150! 2003. A light-hearted vision of Buddha sitting in a lotus, just waiting to use his wings. Full of joy and delight. I've been seeing humor in many situations lately - Buddha just decided  fairy wings the day I finished this painting. Golden OM, $125, sold, priv coll., 2002; 18x24 acrylic on canvas. Great Blue, $350, 4/15/07, 32" square canvas. Great Blue Heron. I used to walk at Maximo Park in St. Petersburg, and one of these herons always followed me around. We'd visit for awhile, then he'd wander off to find his lunch in the water.

There are so many intricate details in this large piece, including the word "saha", which is said at the end of a henna session and means to wear your henna in good health.

I imagine myself at peace, living in tranquility. I am in the all seeing eyes of God. If we could see our true nature, we would be able to connect to the divine that resides in, and surrounds, each of us.
